A little H. for the holidays

This afternoon C. and I made one last attempt to photograph our little man for the family Christmas card. I think people must have given up on them by now! (I usually have them out the day after Thanksgiving!!) Maybe the hat was too itchy, or perhaps H. has finally reached that age where independence and free will kick in and photos aren't on his agenda anymore. (sniff!) What ever the reason, these are the best of the bunch!! Cheers to you all! Please know that your Christmas cards will be coming soon!! Warmest wishes and holiday cheer until then! Jess

Website update!!

What I'm Thankful for this year..

As we sat at dinner last night I listening to my husband in a stunned silence as he told me that he was going to post a thread on his car-guy sight about what he was thankful for this year. And it was going to be a photograph of me and our little guy. I can't quite figure out what stunned me because I know he puts us first and foremost in everything. I guess it made me think about myself and my priorities. And for the first time in days instead of worrying about finances or which mac-n-cheese recipe to make, what to do to entertain H. that day, etc, etc, etc, I remembered the real reason for the Thanksgiving Day. All of my anxious energy gave way to the biggest smile on my face and I know that no matter what happens that day it will surely be the best in my life!

My weekend off!!

I am glad/sad to say that I had no scheduled photo shoots this weekend. But, I was up to a bunch and thought I would share it all with you!

I had three photos in the Telfair Open Art Fair this weekend! I think I was in shock over the whole thing as it happened kind of last minute. It's always nice to know that your headed in the right direction, isn't it? It made me feel really great to see every one and hear what they had to say... Thanks guys! I really mean it!

On Saturday the guys and I had a day out. We started out at the Telfair Art Tent where H. participated in all of the kids activities. Then we had a nice lunch down town, and then finished off our family adventure at Oatland Island's Cane Grinding Festival. H. held an owl, tried funnel cake, and all around had the best time! I had so much fun watching H.'s face light up every time something new caught his eye. I wonder some times how I enjoyed life before him.

On Sunday there was much needed cleaning to do at the house. Working on my photography every weekend means that I have really let a lot of house work go unfinished. I am proud to say that I am almost caught up... if one ever gets caught up, that is! But, laundry is done again and books are all reshelved... Well, that is until H. wakes up in the morning and undoes it all again!

Congrads to K. and S.!!

Some times, in life, you meet the best people by chance. This is absolutley true in the case of K. and S. I was refered to them for a couple of engagement photos. By the time we were done, I knew I had met two spectacular people! I wish you all the best as your happy day draws near! Congrads to you both, and may all of your dreams come true!

A Halloween Sneak Peak!!

This past weekend I decided to invite a few people over to our house for a fall themed photo session. All when well and the weather held out with only a few sprinkles early in the morning. Here are a few of the fabulous photos we took that day! Hope you enjoy! -Jess

C. was really a cutie! She wasn't feeling too well but she gave it her all regardless and we managed to get a few great photos of her! Thanks guys! You were awesome!

The sleepiest pumpkin in the patch goes to little W. It's really amazing how much this little fellow grows from week to week! And, would you believe that we got a real smile out of him.. not just once, but twice?! Thanks goes to you, A. and J., for humoring me once again!

These two little ladies were the most fun! And I must add, were absolutely beautiful! It was almost unfair how easy they were to photograph! I had so much fun! Thank you!!

These two little ladies were as cute as can get! I always have the best time when M. and B. are around. Their good spirits are contagious! They were a great start to my day! Thank you ladies!!

Frogs and snails and puppy dog tails...

...that's what little boys are made of!

I am thrilled to introduce baby W. His family has been long time friends of ours. His daddy and my husband went to grade school together!! (Yes, guys, that does make you old!) I was more than honored to photographed him this past weekend. He was such the champ! And his side-kick was adorable too!

N.

Any one who has waited for the arrival of a new family member knows the excitement and the anticipation that goes along with it. I was able to share in this with N. and her husband this past weekend as I photographed the new growing addition to their family. As I look back through the photographs from that day I realize that this little one will have a great life! Thank you, and all of my best wishes go with you!

Saturday in Forsyth Park with the M. family.

A round of "thank you's" goes to the M. family who met me in Forsyth Park this past Saturday! A. is as handsome as a little fellow can get, and such a good sport too! He tried out so many new things that day! And he even let me snap off a few photos of him too! This is just a little sneak peak of what is to come... I have a bunch of terrific photos for you!! Thank you again! You are truly an amazing family!

A Sunday Drive with H.

boy, n. -a noise with dirt on it

I read this not to long ago and immediately felt the profound truth in this statement. Anyone who has a boy, has had the opportunity to love a boy, or has been touched by the love a boy can give understands that this is the very essence of them. If you look close you can see H.'s lips moving as he hums a little engine noise to himself! He can't touch the pedals, but that doesn't slow him down. His little heart is flying along a dirt road having adventures that I haven't yet fathomed.

M. and B.

These are two of the sweetest girls I know! Another huge thank you to them and their family for letting me interrupt one of their Saturdays. Mom, the girls, and I played and took pictures for a good part of the morning. Then, after a great snack, they then shared their favorite cartoons with me. H. and I are still watching them, too! Thanks ladies!!

H.'s First Birthday!

The apple of my eye... This is my little guy. He just celebrated his first birthday!! Where did the time go? And what happened to my baby? Isn't it amazing, how time flies when your not looking!

Sunday in Forsyth Park

A little while back I had the opportunity to photograph little Mr. W. in Forsyth Park. He was not too keen on having his photograph made though! With a little encouragement and a whole lot of fun we finally got him to smile. Thank you! You guys were troopers! I hope you enjoy the sneak peek .

I just wanted to send a great big thank you out to all the families who have been helping me get my website images together! I have met some great families and really enjoyed working with all of you! Hopefully we will be celebrating the completion of my website in a few weeks! Until then please enjoy the photos and keep checking in!

Welcome baby W.!

I am proud to welcome a new little fellow into our family and friends circle! Baby W. graced us with this presence late Friday evening and he is every bit of perfection a family could want. I know that both of the grandmothers were beyond excited to finally meet their first grandbaby! My best thoughts go with the C. family this week as they make their way home and start to get settled in! More photos will be coming soon, I promise!
